About the Owner: My Journey to JMZ Farms

Howdy there, fellow farm enthusiasts and curious souls! Welcome to JMZ Farms, where the grass is green, the animals are happy, and the dream is alive. I'm Michael Jimenez, the 22-year-old owner, and I'm downright thrilled to take you on a journey through the story of how JMZ Farms came to be.

I was raised in a small suburb city called Cedar Hill. From my early days in kindergarten

to my senior year of high school, I soaked in the beauty of nature and the wonders of the hills. But it was a pivotal moment at the age of 12 when my dad introduced me to F.A.R.M., a nonprofit supporting veterans through agriculture. That day, surrounded by fruit and vegetable gardens, adorable pygmy goats, and more, I was hooked. It ignited a fire within me and showed me the immense potential of farming.

My first visit to Honey Acres Farms

Throughout my teenage years, I juggled between my passion for farming and the pressures of society. But I knew deep down where my heart truly belonged. In high school, I found myself raising chickens and volunteering at Honey Acres Farms, learning the ropes of the business and the importance of dedication.

My journey wasn't without its hurdles, from facing doubters to working odd jobs, including the guy on the grill at Chipotle, a security officer, a trailer mechanic for FedEx, and now a corporate accountant. I hustled and learned valuable lessons along the way. But it was an unexpected opportunity when I was allowed to rent out 5 acres in Colleyville, TX, that truly changed the game. With a vision in my heart and determination in my soul, JMZ Farms was happening—an organic, pasture-raised egg farm nestled amidst small hills and azure skies.

The career journey I embarked on before starting JMZ Farms

From that moment on, I have been pouring my blood, sweat, and tears into JMZ Farms, from dawn till dusk. Every day presented new challenges, but with each hurdle, I grew stronger and more resilient. And today, as I stand proudly as the owner of JMZ Farms, I am living my wildest dreams.

But this journey is far from over. Each day brings new opportunities and triumphs, reminding me of the boundless potential that lies within us all. I say to all the dreamers and doers out there, never let anyone tell you what you can or cannot achieve. With passion as your compass and perseverance as your guide, the sky's the limit.
